On top of having great credentials, Dr. Porter is extremely thorough and compassionate about his care. He spends lots of quality time with his patients conducting their exams, explaining their treatments and just getting to know his patients as people. He has a very gentle touch and does everything he can to maximize patient comfort.

In the local medical community, he has a reputation for being a conscientious and conservative surgeon who excels in nonsurgical care. In fact, he only performs surgery on one out of ten patients.

The majority of these patients are sent to him by other doctors. These referring doctors appreciate the fact that surgery is always his last resort. They also appreciate the way Dr. Porter keeps them up-to-date on their patient’s care by sending them detailed notes on the referred patient’s case.
